Young Hopefuls

The Young Hopefuls are a key part of our school community at Kingstone and Thruxton. They are responsible for a range of things; from organising school events to running lunchtime activities, you will often find them helping around the school in a variety of different ways. Our Young Hopefuls act as role models and deliver and demonstrate our school values on a daily basis. They wear bright blue jackets so that they are easily identifiable to both adults and children.

The Young Hopefuls meet weekly to discuss responsibilities and plan future events. Each half-term they complete tasks to earn a badge.

October 2023

The Young Hopeful children have just run their first event, raising money for Macmillan. The children held a coffee morning for parents and carers and a cake sale. The Young Hopefuls were over the moon with the support from the rest of the school. We had so many wonderful cakes donated. In total, the two events raised £460. Thank you so much for your support!

September 2023

At the start of the academic year, children in Key Stage two were invited to complete an application to put themselves forward to be a Young Hopeful. We had over 50 brilliantly completed applications returned to us; choosing 15 children was incredibly difficult.
